I'm watching Sicko

It's pretty shocking stuff. Living in the USA would be cool, except if you got sick. Healthcare insurance companies often reject peoples claims even though they've paid their insurance premiums.

Anyone else seen this film?

It's an interesting film. Just remember, as with all Michael Moore films he's going to show you what he needs to show you to prove his point.

All documentaries have bias, Michael Moore just seems to get his across without no other answer even being possible lol

It's a well done documentary though, really emotive and has a good progressive story.

I have no sympathy for Americans what so ever when it comes to their health service, they fought there way out of our commonwealth 200 years ago and therefore our NHS. Reap what you sow yankee doodle dandee.

I can't help but notice that Cuba does not appear on the list above the USA, yet from the film you have the impression that their health care is much better...

I agree, great film though and the state of health care in the US is shocking.

Not really. Take Sicko as an example, done in the Michael Moore style it's a case of 'I'm going to show just how bad the US health care system is'.

A true documentary doesn't set out from the start with the clear objective of proving one side or the other.
