I would like a lot of air pressure inside my case so I thought about an extra 4 x 120 Xilence fans to go on my newly modded window, but they will be fixed to the outside and not the inside due to the amonut of room in my Cooler Master Elite 335, the thing is would you put these on a fan controller or just fix them to fan points on the Mother board? Any help appreciated, Thank you..

Personally I would say a fan controller, as with that many fans you'd not leave many (if any) headers avail on the mobo and it'd be a nightmare getting the side on and off. You could route all the cables towards the front of the side panel then plug into fan controller cabling there making it far easier to put the side on. I've also seem mods done where several fans cables are put into a single 'loom' and hence only needing a single plug. Worth doing some investigating of that I'd say.

You'd want to run them all at the same speed, so a fan controller is probably excessive and a bit clumsy. Do you know offhand what wattage your motherboard headers are rated for? Mine will take 24W according to Asus, which is many fans off one header.

You could either get 3 y splitters and plug them all into that, or cut the plugs off the fans and solder the wires together appropriately. With four fans, all positioned beside each other, hard wiring them together is probably the tidiest option. You could then run all four off one channel of a fan controller if you liked.

Solder them in parallel, not in series. if you lack an iron, twisting bare wires together and wrapping in pvc tape will work too

I am truly not sure about the fan headers so I will get the manual out and go through that, Now about soldering the wires together, Not sure I would want to do that I do have a few fan headers left on the board to use so I may stick with that letting me alter speed by the abit fan equaliser. Thanks for all your help and suggestions..
Wayne..;)
