so why is my 400x70 sig wrong?

The maximum allowed filesize is 20KB, yours is 54KB.

Yeh, only way I can make it right is gif...silly small file sizes...it is ok for those using 56k still though...

I would do a proper sig, but I can't be bothered to do the whole cutting out of things...although *has an idea and dissapears inside photoshop*

Incedently...how'd you get it lower than 20kb? in Potatoeshop CS2 I could only get it to 27kb as a jpeg, setting it to 0 on quality output.

I think there's a "Save for internet" thing on there or "jpeg for internet".

I personally just used IrfanView on %100 then %98.

In potatoshop select Save for Web. I use the Gimp. In that you Save As and move the slider until you're at the size you want.
