We bought a fly trap last year, the one with the blue lights and zaps the flies. Best thing ever, had to empty the damn thing weekly it caught so many flies. Worthy little purchase.

We're in that annoying phase where it's not cold enough to have the heating on much, but it's not warm enough to have windows wide open. So you open the windows, sit in the cold for a while, put a jumper on, and then close the windows. Rinse and repeat.
Dry them out and fry them if that's your kind of thing.That's great, but there's no satisfaction of that annoying fly sizzling like bacon
We're south facing, without having windows/doors open our kitchen warms up and feels like a sauna.
