C+C Welcome :)

1 & 3 do it for me, though all of them are great shots.

Great sharpness throughout as well - is this from the lens or with photoshop?

Don't even know why I haven't got mine yet!!

Mostly the lens, though you do need unsharp mask for that little bit extra ;)

Another thing. These were all shot handheld, at around f7. If I spent the time and put it on a tripod (which I usually do with my kit lens) and upped it to f11 it would probably been sharper. The only minus point that I have read about is poor quality control. Some sigmas are great some not so. I have a few shots that are slightly soft in the bottom left, though that could just be down to the distance and aperature. I haven't really tried it fully stopped down to compare images.

I am happy with it ;)

I have managed to find a well known online (UK) store that is currently doing them for £270! (offer runs out tomorrow  ). Presumably, I can return it to the online store for a swap should I get a duff one?

I'd rather buy on the high street but for £30 more.....

£270 is a good price. I paid £301 from the online version of the high street shop.

I paid the same, just asked in store if they could do it for the online price, which was fine.

Your shots are fantastic. It's a great lens, very glad i bought mine.

Can't wait to get home in the summer to go out shooting some proper landscapes :)

Wow all those areas you posted look so different than 2months ago when I went, with the major sow fall etc... Gotta go tehre again soon. Can't wait for full summer and then autum, will be nice to compare those places throughout the year.

Nice photos as usual Strax. How often you go around the lochs around west scotland?

Thanks Colin :) :)

I try to get away at least once every 10 days (due to shift pattern). In the last couple of weeks I have been to Inverary (butterbridge & Rest & be thankful) and the Carrick Forest (Loch Riecawr & Loch Bradan).

The weather forecast for the next few days isn't looking too good at the mo, so not too sure about this week. If it does improve though, I will probably be going round about Oban way :)

I see what people are saying about being careful not to get one's feet in th shot when shooting at 10mm - in number 2 the amount of water you have maned to fit in is an amazing!!!!

nice photos, really like no1 :)

I`m strugging to find that lens for £270, can you gimme a hint? heh

got mine this morning and have taken my kit with me to the office, so will take some shots around the City tonight and post tomorrow - can't wait to have a go :)
