Anyone got this lense??

I would be interested in an views on this lense. It's fairly new one i believe.

I have the Sigma 70-300mm f4.0-5.6 APO DG lense for my D40. It's manual focus because of the lack of focus motor in the lense.

I can find it online -this new HSM version of the lense for £155. Seems a good buy as i like the lense but the manual focus is very difficult to do.

Thinking that i could sell my current lense and buy the HSM lense. I have about £100 plus the sale of my current lense to play with.

Any ideas?

you'll find its not HSM.

I have the lens and use if quite often. Its a good lens for a basic telephoto. There is two version APO and non APO.

P.S. dont mention competitor names

don't follow:confused: - description of the lense says:

"Nikon fit version has a built in HSM motor so is compatible with the Nikon D40 / D40x / D60 digital SLR cameras"
 
Its probably a typo as if you google sigma 70-300 HSM it seems its only that perticular shop doing it.

Call them just to clarify. - Dont believe everything you read.
 
my bad - i googled it just incase it was new - must be the only shop that got picked up when i tried to google it.
