Signature Size Rules

Don't some forums have a mobile view setting, which disables all graphic intensive activity?

If there was a problem with signature sizes, then this thread, amongst others in the past, would not exist. Although myself I'd like so see a small dimension increase, the majority of users just want the file size limit increasing.

Given that the rules are 10 years old, perhaps they should changed to keep in touch with the times.

Looking at the fantastic quality of lots of the Sigs on here under the current limits is there really any need for "same pixel sized but higher Kb sized" sigs? I'd say no personally.

People with smartphones will not like the extra data and there are still those with slow data lines.

The current limit does not stop people from creating great signatures. In fact it enhances them because extra thought has to go into their creation.

Leave as is.

Hell no.
Back then you didn't have mobile devices and mobile Internet.
Why do you what more clutter and more scrolling!

Tablets are hugely popular now and is an exploding market place. With more and more people replacing their laptop/desktop with them. They dont have huge resolutions. Also when out and about, phone screens are tiny.

So although at home and on desktops things are cheaper, bigger and faster. A much smaller percent of the browsing is done that way, these days.

They need to stay the same size really (and the size limit needs to be kept fairly low too) as it provides a uniformity and control to the forum that actually makes it readable and useable. Many other places on the internet have no restrictions to show your individuality and it tends to just end in a mess :(

I like the dimensions how they are, some forums are so bloody annoying with people having sigs 1000 pixels high. However the file size is a little small
