Sigourney Weaver

Was watching that new Beatles movie last night and she was giving an interview, she was one of the fans on camera at an early Beatles concert in the US.
Always liked her for the Alien movies.

ok, but one of THE most over-rated actresses. Ripley, one of the most ridiculous characters ever. why people thought she was worth £95-an-autograph at the LFCC when far far better people w/ far far more impressive resumes were about half of that is a great mystery of our times.

I've never found her super attractive, maybe if I had been a teen watching Ghostbuster I might think very differently :)

Ripley was a brilliant 70s / 80s female roll model though, paved the way and I think we have gone backwards again since then.

You're asking why an autograph at a Showmasters event was expensive...??!!
Showmasters set the price, usually based on how rare a guest's appearance at shows is and how big a crowd they will draw. Sigourney is a BIG name in geekdom and only recently started attending these shows. Same for Bill Paxton.

William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy at a show together = £200 each, plus almost the same if you want a photo with them... oh, and you'll
You'll queue up for over an hour, Security will shepherd you up when it's your turn, Shatner/Nimoy will take your item from your own hand, scribble on it, pass it back and then Security will whisk you off so the next person can get in.... I doubt either guest will even have time to look up at your face.

If you want your money's worth, work the show as a volunteer and get 'backstage' to have some face time with the guests... or take up smoking and hang out with the out the back - Made a huge number of friends that way!!

Such as?
Michael J Fox, maybe... but aside from Neve Campbell and Bill Paxton, most were just regular attendees of such things.
I bet you a hundred Haribo that Jeremy Bullock was there and he would have cost you £10-15, for example.

Really have gone backwards, I mean look at Linda Hamilton in the Terminator movie, especially the second one.
