The picture comes from a KungFu movie "Duel to the Death".
In this part of the film the Shaolin monestry is attacked by Ninjas and while there is a huge battle going on outside with the rest of the monks the GrandMasters just sit quietly and meditate, for they do not fear.
I like the idea of the peace and clarity of thinking unbroken by the mayhem and confusion outside.
