Is anyone else getting this?

It looks fantastic. I did have it preordered at Coolshop(Steelbook edition) but it looks like they have had supply issues and will not be getting for release so i cancelled and reodrdered from Amazon.

Cant wait to get my teeth into it.
 
When I saw the review scores I pre-ordered the standard edition on PSN. I only digitally pre-order Fromsoft games as I know they won't let me down, but now also this one. Sort of a personal statement from me, to the devs - that let reviewers get their hands on it early (I don't like pre-orders if you can't tell lol). The visuals seem a bit better on PC but I'm looking forward to some late nights with my headphones on in front of the TV, like when I played it on PS2.

One of my favourite games ever. I wasn't holding up much hope for this remake but it seems like they may have smashed it, unlike some previous efforts on the SH series.

I did seem to remember being a bit disappointed with the game when i first played it, not really getting a lot of the symbolism. The prison level i thought built up to a bad/disappointing conclusion.

I am looking forward to playing it, like you said, headphone on, massive tv in a dark room.. :D
 
I believe the music is redone however its been redone by Akira Yamaoka so i believe it is VERY VERY faithlful to the original.

My colleague has been playing it for about an hour and he is a big fan and says he is really liking it.
 
Well I’m pretty tired this morning, getting too old for late night gaming sessions lol. Performance is not great. I hope it gets a ps5pro bump. Really enjoying the modern take on it though, more than I thought I would. Too early to comment on the review scores from my perspective but so far fully recommended
 
Girlfriend ordered this last night and we were surprised to find it's out of stock almost everywhere currently. She had to order for delivery from Smyths in the end, but the usual suspects were all OOS, including Amazon.

Does it target 60 with frequent drops below then? Hoping it doesn't effect the gameplay too much as it isn't exactly speedy
 
Honestly thought this looked so terrible from the trailers - but the reviews have swayed me and I'll definitely be getting it at some point.

I tried quality mode for about 20 seconds and had to change it to performance. It's been smooth enough but the image quality isn't great at times. It looks really good at other times! I'm not complaining... Not that it matters too much for me anyway, but the base PS5 is capable of better so hopefully ps5 pro can paper over the (not very significant) cracks.

It is by no means bad.. it's better than fine!
 
Looking forward to trying this later on, been waiting all day to play :D Reviews have been great from what I have read so far.

Never got around to playing any Silent Hill games so interested to see how it goes :)
 
I played about an hour or so last night. It looks pretty fantastic and is a great modern representation of the original. I am playing in Quality mode, i normally play in performance mode as i cant really deal with the noticeable judderyness but with this having a slower place its not too bad. I hope it gets a update for pro.

How are you finding the stutters pc v ps5 performance mode?
 
This is the first time I've played any of the Silent Hill games but I'm really enjoying it. Few fps drops in certain areas but nothing too troubling.

It's creepy as hell though, especially with headphones. I'm at the prison now and it's just awful :p
