That said, I quite like the auditory feedback from my G15 - it lets me know that i'm actually typing properly (even though what I'm typing is generally rubbish).
Softer touch keyboards such as Cherry are quieter but not silent which for me is ideal as I find loud keyboards annoying but need the feedback as andi mentioned.
By silent keys do you mean the type you find on a laptop (sissor keys)? I'm typing on a Logitech DiNovo, and although not silent, its a lot quieter than normal keys and sounds totally different. It's also really thin, takes a while to get used to, but soooo much better than normal keys!
Thanks for the help. I am just looking for a keyboard that has soft touch keys. I am a really loud typer and its annoying, even to me. I am currently using a merc gaming keyboard and its awfully big. The gaming part of the board I don't even use, even when gaming. I like the gaming keys on the merc but found myself using the old qwerty keys instead.
