Just ordered a Logitech k300 because I was waking up the gf at night she goes to bed kinda early. It's not completely silent but its not loud at all, it's around laptop keyboard noise

I had similar requirements, and I got a Logitech UltraX. It's not completely silent but it's very quiet compared to a standard keyboard. It's also hard-wearing; mine's had nearly 5 years of intensive use with no sign of wearing out. Finally, it's compact, comfortable to use, cheap, and easy to get hold of.
