Just enquiring when you will be getting stock back on the above item? Was going to order a new HDD at the same time rather than separatly, and as it is listed as "Out" im not sure what the stock waiting time is

I didnt know that they would be so popular that they could sell out so damn fast. But the other place that makes a carbon copy of this has also sold out, so think it might be a common problem, looks like they are the best you can get which other people found out before I did.

Just hope this new SATA drive wont be as hot as my current IDE drive

what drive have u just got ? i got a new seagate drive and a new raptor .i got the silentmaxx for the raptor as its doing me head in

I wouldnt be buying a raptor as I couldnt really see the cost benefit, especially with the noise issues etc. Im getting that 7200.10 320gb drive, as it seems a really good cost with all of the benefits having this drive would have, will be replacing my old IDE 120gb drive.

Will this drive be cooler than my old drive was? My IT guy did say the old drive was getting quite hot, which is why he suggested getting a caddy for it to keep it cool from the start

well if your talking about this one

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB ST3320620AS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (HD-078-SE)

i got one a few week back .it dose run a little hotter than my older drives . but not as much as the raptor

With it being unavailable I dont really have much of a choice but to buy the SATA drive all by itself, it was available somewhere else, but the enclosure there is nothing like the quality of the one from here. Im getting other things done to my machine, so as long as the drive can survive 18 months worth of torture without a silentmaxx then that will be a small saving
