Any opinions on these? I see mixed reviews, some saying they're extremely good value to utter tripe.

They use SLC caching so surely they're not awful?
 
Unless your constantly transferring large files from one ssd to another you should be OK. Got several of these a while back and seem fine to me (use them as game and media drives) not OS drives.
 
You can get a Crucial MX500 for £61. I'd get that instead. Silicon Power have been know to do dodgy things on their SSDs.
