Silly cpu fan question

hey all

Just got a thermaltake frio for my P5Q pro board and it comes with 2x120mm fans. Both fans use a 3 pin plug and have a manual dial for speeds.

The only three 3 pin sockets which are cha_fan1, pwr_fan and cha_fan2.

Is it ok to use these? The chanel fan 2 is furthest away so would ideally like to use the first two.

Stupid i know ive never brought a after market cooler

You can use 3 pin fans on 4 pin headers. just make sure the notch on the back of the fan lines up with the notch on the header (CPU) .

It is fine to use the headers but I would be tempted to use molex to fan header converters.

cheers w3bbo i feel like a right plank As i can only plug one fan onto the cpu header can i use the first chassis header aswell for the pull fan?
