Silly question but cant get text to show as italic

I am making some text updates to a Wordpress site for a friend and he has asked that the quoted text shown on this page should be shown in italic.

I have set it to italic via Wordpress editor which sticks <em> tags around the text, I have also tried surrounding it with <i> tags but still doesnt show as italic. Its weird as in the WP editor it looks fine but not in a browser.

Anyone any ideas?

The text in question is: “70 per cent of small businesses that receive mentoring survive for five years or more – double the rate compared with non-mentored entrepreneurs”

You have a style.css which is overwriting the em, italics and most other tags

This is setting the font to inherit, so the i/em tags which usually have font-style: italic; is overwritten.

Easiest thing would be to remove i and em tags from the CSS at http://nelsongray.com/wp-content/themes/aeron/style.css?ver=4.8.1 (line 70 under 'CSS RESET')
