Silly thing

Ive done something silly and cant work out what, I got a new HD today, plugged in power and data (SATA) cable. The BIOS recognises it, but it doesnt show up in My computer? And its something obvious but cant think what..
It also shows up in Devices and has a driver...

Have you made sure it has a format?

Go to Control Panel > Adminstrator Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management

Then check and see if it "allocated" If not , Then right click and then click format

OK its added, but as a "Simple Volume" and the other HD has logical drives, whats the differance, and should i be worried?

Simple is just a name for a stand alone

Logical is your boot drive , You could say its the Main Logical Drive

Yeh i noticed when i was filling it up

250 gb in not more than 30 mins

Lol my 250 gig Seagate is a slug compared, maybe I should get over my little "I MUST HAVE A SEAGATE!" thing.... haha
