Silverpaw Prediction League Round 22 - 4/5 Jan

Why was the Blackpool fixture added? I (and many others by the looks of it) did their predictions then left this thread for dead, and had no reason to check it again. A random midweek fixture one week after the game week should have either been forgot about, or been applied to THIS WEEKEND's fixtures.

In fairness, I imagine there's a lot of time involved to work out everyone's results each round and there's been an awful lot of fixtures recently.

Im sure Freakitchen updates the scores as soon as he can. He does a good job, dont knock it!

My decision to add the Blackpool game to this thread was given some (semi-serious) thought! First and foremost, DT last year opened up the game to include every fixture, which I thought was a great call and seemed to work well. For this reason, I thought it was difficult to justify NOT including a fixture (that was re-arranged after I started this thread, incidentally) just because it sat far away from the others.

Secondly, it was always my intention to follow the official 'gameweeks' as closely as possible. The Blackpool game was added to gameweek 22 on the Premier League's 'I Know the Score' game, so I did the same here. I even put a reminder in the coming weekend's thread when I made it, hopefully to catch those that had predicted here then forgotten about the thread. Sorry that you didn't see it, Ripper!

Actually, I was annoyed that this fixture landed where it did as it's made results for this round very late. Unfortunately this is a limitation of my spreadsheet that does the calculations. When it checks predictions against results, it treats a 'no entry' for a game as a 0-0 draw. So anyone who predicted that, or similar, would get points for it and completely throw the results. Hopefully I'll get a chance to sort this before the end of the season, as it would help when things start to get exciting!

Okay, this post is already insanely dull. But I wanted to give an insight into my thought processes re: rearranged fixtures and see what you guys think. I have no objection to making any changes to this game that the majority think is a good idea. Oh, and, results for this round up tomorrow ;) Night all.
 
Adding a fixture after 24 people have already posted their predictions is a bit over the top. Most people don’t return after they post. So this naughty little addition should not count.

Apologies for the mild controversy this round too, guys. Since I asked people to predict for the Blackpool game at various points I think it's only fair that I include it in the results. If the situation does arise again, and a rescheduled game appears after I've made the thread and people have already predicted, I'll leave it out. Hope that sounds fair to everyone.
