SILVERSTONE FORTRESS 2 PROFESSIONAL GAMING CASE - PRE-ORDER NOW

I love my original fortress, but i am liking the look of this case too

my only gripe about my case is my radiator won't fit in it, but i doubt it will fit in this either, and i don't want to go for a full tower case :(

This is what the raven 2 should have looked like from the start.

I dont think the fortress needs replacing.

This is just perfect in my opinion. The raven had the right idea but the looks weren't for me, this is a lot nicer.

3x180mm Quiet 700/1000rpm fans blowing heat "up" and out the top (you know it makes sense!) and the graphics card being able to get rid of the heat a lot easier at the same time. Also means no strain on the pci port from the gfx card.

Not only that but it has a window on the right hand side which is perfect for me as my pc sits to the left of me!

I think I'm sold :) Just need to wait for a bit to see what length the nvidia fermi's will be!

two things spoil it. The first is the massive ugly logo saying silverstone, what exactly was wrong with the one on the first fortress? it was much cooler and smaller. The second is how the top part after the 5.25 bays is thicker than the sides, that's just wrong.

Should have been more like this imo, check logo and top:

I don't think the price justifies the look of the case...and also the internal design...agree with others who say the Corsair 800D is definitely worth the price tag and seeing you get plenty more for an extra £15 on top of these...why not?

Id definitely prefer one of these over an 800D.
Especially considering the size differences.

Main thoughts are that this design follows directly from "hot air rises", which I feel is overrated when fans are involved. Also that 180mm fans will be difficult to replace and it would be a bitch to watercool.

Entirely with Gerard regarding plastic in cases. It just shouldn't be there. It breaks, doesn't conduct heat, doesn't shield emi, can't be earthed. Not keen. Steel frame, aluminium panels are a good compromise, though all steel is quieter it also weighs horrific amounts.
