Silverstone GP deadline on Monday

Over the weekend there were reports everythign had been sorted (might have even been Friday) but nothing was going to be said until official announcement today

Silverstone should always be on the calander - 5 years isnt long enough, but hopefully within the next 2 the site itself can get better and deal can be extended

Excellent news. I think the new pit lane / paddock work starts next year ready for 2011?

Just hope Donington can get a second slow for a GP.

Possible new layout to be used next year for the 2010 GP

Phillips said Silverstone is looking at using the new 'Arena' circuit for F1 next year.

"The FIA have been to see it, it has been submitted for homologation and we hope to be running on the 'arena' circuit next summer. If not we can run on the current circuit."

tickets are already on sale :D Excellent, I'll be going to this one. Was fantastic last year so next year with jenson and lewis in the same team the atmosphere is gonna be incredible. :D

Had a quick look at tickets earlier out of curiosity (doubt we'll go) and I noticed that tickets for Woodcote B are not on sale. We normally sit there when we go and watch GTs at Silverstone, I like the view and it'd be my preferred viewing area if we were to go and see the GP.

The site mentions that Woodcote B has been affected by changes to the track for MotoGP so does anyone know the details of these changes? What have they done to the circuit at this point and does this mean the Woodcote B grandstand no longer exists or are tickets here just currently unavailable for other reasons (Corporate block booking, still work ongoing etc)?
