Silverstone Sugo SG01

Wow. I just got mine out of the box, and frig me this thing is big. Seriously, compared to a Shuttle it's huge. I mean, I knew it was a little bigger from looking at comparison pics and stuff, but in the flesh this thing is a total beast.

I'm going to miss the cute petitness of my little Shuttle. Guess I'd better make some more room on the desk then :(

Sure thing, I'm waiting for the ram, gfx, psu and heatsink to arrive, that'll be tomorrow. Total specs though are:

Asrock 945-g dvi
Core2Duo 6300
2gb 533 geil
1900xt 256mb
200gb WD
Tagan 430w easycon
zalman 8000 low profile hsf
And some silent blue led Sharkoon 80mm fans :)

Heres a pic for now though to show what a colossus this is, compared to a CD ;)

Haha yeah, its a gamecube CD :D Still awaiting delivery of the other bits so have only done what I can so far: changed the fans and installed the HD. I'll let you know how it runs within the next few hours.

Motherboard on first inspection looks good, has everything I need for 40 quid cheaper than the Asus. It even comes with a cute little PCIe adaptor which adds a DVI port (as the name would suggest eh!)

Ok well I've put it together, damn I dont want to go that again anytime soon. Space is cramped, especially between the PSU and DVD drive, and the power wires and usb headers from the case have to go from one corner of the case to the exact opposite. The fan on the x1900xt is horribly loud, to the point where i can hear it downstairs, seriously it really is. Everything else is near enough silent, this has really lobbed me off.

I've hit a wall atm, fans are spinning but screen produces nothing. Theres no speaker so I cant listen for beeps. Any ideas before I have to go playing inside it again?

Even on idle?

Pretty sure it will spin down after POST, this is just what happens. My 7800GS does it's dustbuster impression during POST, then spins down and i never hear it again (even when gaming).

Ok and here I am from the new PC :D Vista is quite fun, enjoying it so far. Getting used to the size of this case is going to take a while though, it really is so much bigger than my old sn45g, and really dominates the desk.

nice on geting it up and runing Paramount, as for the case size yeah i had to get use to that from my old soltek case that was smaller.

but its a great case, i love mine loads, and im well happy with my rom stealth mod :)

im just waiting for ocuk to restock the Thermaltake Blue Orb II now to finish of mine

I didn't have the P4 power connector connected, the last build I'd done was a socket A so I wasn't familar with it.

Hi Mate
How are you finding the board?
Tempted to get one cause theres nothing better at the moment and i suspect those that arrive later this year will be expensive.
Have you overclocked at all?
And are you using on bard sound and if so how are you hooking it up.i.e. to a receiver?Amp?
