sim city 4

^
Very nice suburbs, too much traffic lights though imo, I bet your sims are hating you for placing traffic lights instead of roundabouts though :p.

EDIT: btw thanks, you've solved my instability, with affinity set to 1 core the game seems solid, can't get it to crash :).

Now the question is why does my convention centre look so dirty theres little air/water pollution also the rest of the buildings look clean, so any ideas?

And i've tried with this city to make a "random" type layout but it doesnt look right imho so any ideas on how to make it look better/more real

Ok this has got me into the bug for building again, will need to look my copy out and have a play again the next few days. Always got city to a decent size but always got distracted by other games but quiet for gaming at moment so will dust this off again and have some city building fun.

Looks awfull to me, another game ruined by ea tbh imo, Sim city 4 was all about the transportation etc, since scs will lack this and have a lot more basic options, it'll be boring imo.

It's a totally different concept, like a spin off series, it ain't a true sequel or intended to be a sequel to sim city 4 afaik

Shame, I'm still awaiting a proper sequel and hope it will come one day.

Ahwelll still got a lot of other games to complete first ( UT3, CoD4, GoW, Crysis) especially when I'll get my 8800GT in about 2 weeks :).

Probs not enough people using it, convention centers are best place near tranport hubs like railway stations or airports.

Don't be afraid to use diagnols(sp?), ie for people to get to places quicker rather then going in 2 directions. I can post a pic of mine later

Here's some pics from a couple of my cities, in this one I got a load of connections via highway, elevated rail to a nearby airport just north-west. Also got lots of commerical offices around pushes up value of area

(click for bigger on all pics)

Here's another one from another city.(middle of financial area and landmark stadium)

i had a read of some of the links posted in the threat earlier and have decided to have a go at making 3 different areas on 1 region one for industry, people and offices
