Death From above 1979
Belle and Sebastian
British Sea Power
The Coral
Kings of Leon
The Strokes
The Subways
The Go! Team
Dirty Pretty Things
Arctic Monkeys

You could try Milburn, I saw them in Sheffield last night and they where awesome. Or maybe The Rifles, The Cribs, Mystery Jets? Just a few of the top of my head.

Jens Lekman.
Death Cab For Cutie. (Plans and Something About Airplanes are my favourites).
Daft Punk.
Sigur Ros.
Also a distinct lack of Maximo Park and Futureheads. Tut Tut. :p
Radiohead (Bit Obvious but they are good :))
Antony and the Johnsons.

Ghostface, just got a few demos off Milburn's site and they sound quite good, cheers for that.

Royalty, I have Ágætis Byrjun, () and Ba Ba Ti Ki Di Do by Sigur Ros and love them, totally different to anythin I've heard, also Have Apply Some Pressure and The Futureheads just didn't have them on the list. have heard of Death Cab for a Cutie so will check them out never heard of Jens Lekman but will see what I can find.

On Daft Punk, loved their singles but have yet to get any albums any you recomend?

Anthony and the Johnsons, not heard much by him (them?) but what I have I havn't been to impressed with, the music is fantastic just his voice is not to my taste.

Screamadelica & Vanishing Point

Both by The Primal Scream.

Screamadelica is sort of like an early 90s version of The Go! Team.

Vanishing Point is sort of a wierd dub rock/triphop album.

:)

If you like them try the electronica albums by Primal Scream:

XTRMNTR and EVIL HEAT. :)

Edit:

Since you like the Coral try The Mystery Jets and The Zutons. :)

Little Man Tate

They are going to be the biggest indie band to make a breakthrough in 2006 I think. As ghostface said, you can check out milburn also (www.milburnmusic.com - www.myspace.com/milburnmusic)

Just put MTV2 on/look for bands with 'cool' jeans...
That way you'll know they sound similar...

It's just scene boringness...

Right, I've got some demo's by Little Man Tate and they're fantastic! (Think a Sheffield wave is coming!) Bromheads Jacket are good too, need a few more listens to get into them I think.

William, I will check out Primal Scream cheers for that. As for The Zutons, i'm a big fan just forgot the add them to my list (saw them at Manchester Apollo last year).

Same goes for Razorlight, Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Deerhoof, Arcade Fire, New Pornographers, Shins, Modest Mouse and Interpol. Got albums by all of them, cheers though chrisd, will be sure to check out most of your list.

If you don't like the music then **** off and don't post in my thread for music that I like.

*wonders if A5H only listens to bands that havn't been on the radio like most people that come out with comments like that*

Did take me a few listens to get into bromheads, they're just like a indie streets. (In fact on the next streets single, they have bromheads covering the song as the b-side which is mighty cool).

Little Man Tate, mark my word will be very big :D I was right about arctic monkeys, just a matter of time until tate explodes.

woah lets not get all elitest! your certainly not allowed to do that if you like metal. :D
That indie club playlist is dire (bar a few), so I'd stay well away from that.
chrisd's list is great, covers loads of good indie.

You said you want some more electronic stuff, so let me recommend you pretty much anything on the morr record label. It seems to specialise in electronic/indie music. Ms. John Soda, Lali Puna, Mum and The Notwist being some of the best!
The Leaf label also puts out some great things, you'll probably quite like the Manitoba/Caribou stuff and perhaps efterklang.
Another good one is Lex Records, i recommend Boombip and Fog

Finally and maybe best of all, is highpoint lowlife who put out loads of great electronic and indie artists. Bovaflux, randomnumber, Fisk Industries, The Village Orchestra are all particularly lovely... and although a little more difficult to find (being the smallest label of them all) they put lots of stuff online to listen to!

http://highpointlowlife.com/downloads/hpll_almostapodcast5.mp3

Mandelbrot Set - Seismic Waves
Matthew Rozeik - Aerial Attack On Insect Hive
Tigrics - Premiere My Marmite Sound
Mole Harness - A Pattern Just Out Of Reach
Miwon - When Angels Travel
randomNumber - Thoughts So Loud You Can Hear Them
Belong - October Language
Mark Clifford / Simon Kealoha - february 02_02_1
Tuned To A Dead Channel - i tried for something better
Mokira - This Total Age
RF - Down
Sebastian Roux - The Guitar And Drum Song

is lovely

and http://www.highpointlowlife.com/downloads.php
has even more.
