Appreciate this is a bit of a "how long is a piece of string" type question but can anyone give me a ballpark estimate on a garage build?

Looking at single-skin simple block, roughly 12' x 20', wooden double doors on front, no windows and a mains supply. Not sure on roof whether to go pitched, flat, tile, felt etc. Generally quite a simple build and happy to put the effort in where needed to save some £££'s.

Obviously the correct answer is to get some quotes from people but I'm no where near that stage with my garden yet and would like some kind of figure in my head so I have an inclin as to what to aim for :)

Cheers

12' is narrow for a garage I would be looking at 13-14' width, if you work out the square meters of the walls it's nothing to work outhouse many blocks you will need to get a rough cost. Your roof will be the main cost flat felt being cheapest.

Don't forget to add hardcore and corse cement for the Base and footings.

I've currently got a concrete prefab that's about 8' wide. Once the car is past the narrow doorway theres *some* room to open a door but it's not great. I'm planning on removing this and pushing the garage back into the garden once some digging has taken place, retaining walls erected and hopefully a good concrete base put down ready for the garage. I can potentially get away with around 13-14' width absolute max. My main goal was to be able to fit a car and have room to easily open a door, plus a small area for a workbench at the end.
