does it exsist? is it even worth the hassle?

wordpress wont install as my sql thingy isnt up to date. (its out of my hands to update it)

joomla is way way to complicated/long winded.

i just want something where i can quickly create a simple menu and then add pages of content that work with the menu ive just created. is that too much to ask?

What version of MySQL are you running if Wordpress won't work?

no idea, ive been given the database login details etc and thats all i know

http://www.cmsmadesimple.org/ is just about as simple as a CMS gets.
Its light weight but should be more than flexible for your needs.

Been around for 6 years, is regularly updated and has got a pretty good community.

i'll give that a look

getting a problem with that one about my sql not being up to date again gonna have to get onto web server guys and get them to upgrade.
