Is the phone compatible with 2gig cards? If so which ones?

Different sites say different things. The main site says it only supports up to 1 gig but other sites say it supports 2?

I would go with the main site tbh, unless you do a firmware upgrade in whcih case it might support the 2gb card.
 
Yeah quite a few sites say it supports that size. I really want a decent size memory so I'll take a risk. Other people on here seem to have 2 gig cards in theirs. :)

Yep, loads of people on here have 2GB's. If at first its not working then just update the firm ware.

If you're buying off ebay, watch out for dodgy sticks. I remember reading about a 'scam' going on with fake 2Gb which were actually renamed 1Gb sticks (but showed up as 2Gb on the phone and on PCs), when you tried to put more than 1Gb of data on, the stick corrupted.

Not sure if that is still goin on, but just a heads up
 
Mine works fine with 2GB sticks. I have also heard of the "give them a 512MB, make it get detected as a 2GB, it'll be fine until it's got more than 512MB on it" scam, not sure how true it is.
 
yeah, it's a very real scam...that's why some of them are so cheap, and why i'm waiting to try it in my phone before leaving feedback (phone's not arrived yet)

if you buy a 2Gb card, put a 1.5Gb file on there. if the file is readable from the card, then you're fine. if the card doesnt accept it, or it's not readable, get a refund :)

I ordered my 2gb sandisk from a well known site for 70 quid (Came with USB card reader).
