What sum do i need to do to work out, how many Euro's £2,800 is?

Given a current conversion rate of 1 GBP = 1.26 EUR, then

£2,800*1.26 = €3,534.26

Edit: But in your particular case, £2,800*0.75 = €2,100.

To be even more efficient, you can just do "£2800 in euros"

or "£2800 in €"

Yes it's not the CURRENT exchange rate, hence why xe.com isn't relevant.

Try 2800 / 0.75 = 3733.3 in this case.

tut tut tut, don't round!
If you do 1/0.75 you get 1.3333333333333333333333333333333 until infinity NOT 1.33

If you do it all in one go on a calculator, you get 3733

Because 1/0.75 isnt 1.33.....
