I have my HP2210i monitor connected with DVI would I get better display by using the HDMI cable "graphic card is GTX470"

No you wont, they both give the same digital picture.

The digital video signal carried by DVI and HDMI connections is the same. The only difference is that HDMI carries a sound signal and the pins are arranged differently.

If you have the monitor connected with a DVI-DVI cable then I would just stick with that, no point moving to the HDMI connection.
