Simple overclocking ram timings question

I have OCZ Gold PC6400 800MHZ 5-5-5-12 Stock
When overclocking would a ratio of 1:1 4-4-4-12 688MHZ be a slower ram speed than stock or would it operate faster?

O.k Ive been doing a few tests using Super PI

Faster speed loose timings 1000MHZ 5-5-5-15 2:3
1MB=17secs
2MB=41secs
4MB=1min 32secs
Slower speed tight timings 710MHZ 4-4-4-12 1:1
1MB=16secs
2MB=39secs
4MB=1min 30secs

So looking at that am I right in thinking I should stay with 1:1 tighter timings for faster ram?
Though when booting up my PC It claims my ram is PC4200
