God can't believe im actually making on of these for awfull threads :o

But, for a 4gb budget / middle of the road performance rig what does this look like:

Chose ram becuase its cheap and 800mhz to do the job
CPU was picked for high multiplyer, meaning i don't need to rely on getting a great fsb
motherboard. cheap cheerfull, good overclocker by all accounts
graphics. Want something to play CSS and the occasional other game i might play. for price seems to be best bet? or would spending a little more on 8800 or 9600 be a better bet?

Oh, another tning. Don't want to make this mistake again.

Does anyone know if the OcUK 3870 has varible fan speed? or is it stuck at 100% all the time like my old X1950 pro was? :(

Also does anyone have a picture of it ? Assume it comes with the zalman-esc cooler on it?

If it doesnt have varible fan speed do any of the other models? PowerColour one for example?

This is all assuming its aduible on 100%!

Well, I for one like seeing these spec threads, so don't see anything awful about them. I think it can spark off some worthwhile discussion on the merits or otherwise of the various components and their value for money. So hats off to those who tirelessly reply to help all those in need of advise.
 
You can get a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R iP35 Socket 775 8 channel audio ATX Motherboard for £70 inc VAT which would get you a much better OC imho!
