I Will be installing a SSD into my new upgrade soon, which consists of a new Motherboard, CPU and SSD.

I already have MS word and other thing installed to my HDD. Will they still run if i plug it in to my new upgrade parts? I am using the SSD as a boot drive so it will have a freash install of Windows 7 on it.

If i boot from my SSD i still should be able to acess word on my HDD right?

Dont need to remove the installation, but the old drive will have W7 on. It would be better to back up the files/folders that you actaully need to a DVD/USB drive. Then wipe the drive and copy the files back after W7 install.

You can keep the folders intact (if thats where you want to run the Apps from) and install to the same location in the wizard. IE instead of installing to C:\Programs\... install to D:\Programs\...

This will keep all the files. I do this to keep my App directories the same and it REALLY helps in games. Especailly ones that have been updated as if you re-install you have to re-download.

Thanks for that!

Seems like the best option for me. Think ill wait til after my uni deadlines to get an SSD then. :)
