Simple Windows Photo Editing Software?

What easy to use photo editing software is there available for windows? Something like iPhoto or Aperture on the Mac...

Price isn't too much of an issue but anything like photoshop will be too complicated.

Any ideas?

I always thought Adobe Lightroom was pretty complicated.. It's for a female you see so it needs to be very simple.

Ill get her to download the free trial anyway.

photoshop elements? its not as compicted as the big photoshop.
other than that: acdsee comes to mind.

Lightroom is for managing photos and a bit of post production

like said I think Photoshop Elements is more likely to be a suitable choice for her
