I think i'm getting low FPS in WoW, when i'm in Stormwind City sometimes my FPS drops to about 48 (that's with loads of people there) the rest of the time in the world it's about 90 to 100+, my settings are on ultra with shadows turned down to good, i'm at 1920x1080. Just want to run it past you guys because I think i'm getting obsest with frames per second:mad::(

Turn aa down a bit, at that res 2xaa should be sufficient.

Complaining about 48 fps is a bit churlish if you ask me, some people have nothing.

I used to get maybe 30 fps at busy times in org / dala with my previous pc.

With my new pc, cpu at stock i get probably 50 - 70 in busy times. If its insanly busy i wont get that high though.

Was stuck at home a few years back with a broken ankle, couldn't sit at my desk to use the PC so was stuck playing WoW (only thing that would run really) on a Laptop with 768MB RAM and GMA950 graphics. Tried to avoid Ogrimmar.

yeah pc spec will effect your fps a lot,, turn down ya setting or get a better pc

Well on my laptop i play on in Stormwind can drop to 7 fps and i don't really mind and when none busy areas only around 35.

I get around 50fps with my PC on same settings, but I know its my Q9400 thats stopping it from going higher, cause I nearly got the same FPS with my 5850 (I got a GTX480 now)

Storm wind is like orgrimar? id just leave the setting tbh what else you do in the city? just standing there and doing a few dailys :)

what really kills my fps is the swirly adds in vortex pinnacle, my pc allmost dies :( u guys know what im talking about :)

Yeah, I think I have to say sorry guys. I know 48FPS isn't bad but I do notice it in gameplay.

Anyway much appreciated for all your replies.

Cheers

I can almost guarantee this is bull. Differance between 10 and 30 sure, that's easy, but 48 and 100? No chance, especially not in WoW.

Also just to make it completely clear, slow down in cities is normal and it will always happen to some degree, regardless of the system you are playing it on.
