• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

Since installing a Titan GPU my PC is restarting (Starcraft II problem only)

Says nothing, it's a complete restart and not BSOD so I wouldn't expect it to say anything.

What OS are you on?

Get to Control Panel > System and Security > System

Advanced System Settings on left > Start Up and Recovery > Settings

Look at system failure > Untick Automatically Restart

Then next time it poos itself, it shouldn't just hard reset. You will get at least a BSOD and be able to take a pic or write down the error message.

If it does, then something more sinister low level is going on and you can consider hardware.

I would leave the game alone for a week, play everything else under the sun and see if you get the same again.

There is certainly a stability quirk here, but it may well be driver related. Titan aspects of drivers are still early days yet.

And throwing in your old 670 to see if it does it isn't such a bad idea, if you are using the same driver set.

I would do this Chris. It sounds very much like the game is at fault.

I had this happen a couple of times with my 670s in SLI in Starcraft 2, although I wasn't able to repeat it. At the time I was using beta drivers and had the cards OC'd as far as they could go so I reverted drivers and lowered the OC and managed to complete the game without issue.

I may have been lucky not to encounter it again though, not sure if the changes did anything and no other games have caused a restart (Crysis 3, AC3, BF3, GW2 and SimCity5).

I would say the game is the culprit here.

That sounded like a psu cut off to me. Could be game related though.

A quick google says two beeps from that PSU is protection mode so either the PSU is faulty or as mentioned above, you have the load non ideally split.

It seems that PSU has 3 x 12V rails.

Which connectors from the PSU have you used?

Could be Titan + this game tipping the psu over the edge, I would deffo try and source another psu or use two (the spare one you have) green wire trick.

This gives you load on each rail.
