Since when

I'd consider Topman and River Island to be on par. You'll pay £40 for a pair of denims in Topman.

I have never seen jeans for more than £25 in Topman, whereas Next and River Island are always around £35.

Topman is a sort of glorified Burton (normal plain cheap clothes, bit like Newlook but for men, or obviously Topshop), Next is a 20-40's "normal" clothes shop and River Island a bit of a Richard Hammond 20-40's clothes shop IMO.

EDIT: I take that back, I just looked on topmans site and they have quite a few £40 Jeans. :s I obviously manage to miss them every time I go into the shop!

Dunno but I was working tonight and my opposite manager popped down the local one and spent 80quid in ten minutes! :O

I buy some stuff from Next, there jeans are ok at times. Mostly I buy Diesel though.

Anyhow, what amazes me about Next is there boxing day sale.

You can go into NEXT every day and see what they have. Yet when you go in on there Boxing day sale they have stuff you have never ever seen before which is quite frankly terrible products.

I sometimes do wonder where this stuff comes from for there sales.

The Next sales are always huge - if you haven't noticed this you have either never been in a relationship with a woman or you've been living in a box :D

I bought a shirt from Next last night actually. I wanted a dark blue striped shirt for a wedding today - M&S had nothing that I wanted, Burton had even less, next shop along was Next and I got a nice shirt from their "No Tie Required" range, which was £35. I could have got it this morning in the sale but I am not a masochist :D

You can't even get straight on the site at the moment, there's a queuing system.
