Bah, really thought it was Lewis' year again to take the WDC, but at the end of the day, talent isn't the complete story in F1, it's down to the damn cars.

Exactly, if it was just talent Alonso would already have the title, thankfully as everyone loves the 'show and close title battle' he hasn't allowing those with faster cars to make a fight of it

I'd be surprised if tapping a wall would knacker the gearbox, more likely just a typical unfortunate mechanical failure

Can't see a 3 stop working well. Getting past 3 cars and then getting almost 30 seconds ahead of them is surely impossible

I don't think any strategy works if your team puts you out behind a bunch of slower traffic.
