Either your steam game list is even bigger than mine or you need to open up your genre options and give some titles a chance. Sure a few days might have not hit a note but to say the entire sale was crap is a bit far fetched imo.

Nothing to buy, doesn't really equal crap, it just means you had nothing to buy that interested you.

You're either incredibly fussy or have a crazy amount of games on your account.

I had plenty to buy myself, and I would say I have a ridiculous amount of games on my account, with it now being over 270 games.

I haven't downloaded anything yet, I need to get a new hard disk just for my Steam install. It's well over a TB now. :o I've still got 24 games to download and install. :p
 
wasn't anything really that I haven't already got (have 194 games in my steam account), some good deals though valve complete pack is a steal for anyone missing l4d2 and portal 2 alone
 
I got Mafia 1, Mass Effect 2 and F1 2010 - Mass Effect 2 was probably the best deal - but I've enjoyed F1 2010 more so far as I haven't finished the original Mass Effect yet :p
 
Terraria when it was £1.49, not played it properly yet but the way peeps are raving about it i just know i picked up a bargain.

Also Sanctum was a good buy too.
 
On steam, defense grid.. couple quid with the DLC's. I'll probably play it through till I've got gold medals for everything.. final stand is a PITA though

Best buy of summer : Civ 5 @ Gamersgate (£6.78) - best bit was as I watched people to scramble to buy it from steam when they reduced the price (which still cost more) I was able to activate/download my key through steam :D

I ever start to get bored with it, theres loads of DLC content out for it I can grab at a later point

Stuff like the BFBC2 pack for a tenner was nice to see.. but honestly didn't exactly have me rushing to the checkout for.. I probably spent less this past xmas/summer on steam sales in a few years

Might be showing my age but these days I'm more excited to see what GOG has rereleased than what steams daily sales are tbh :) I can't wait for them to do theme hospital/park and DK2!

You guys should broaden your horizens a bit. Keep tabs on Directdrive, Getgamesgo and Gamersgate.. because sometimes you'll find deals on there that catch steam with their pants down, which can also be activated through steam

Finished it already but for £1.69 it was refreshingly brilliant. Very much looking forward to Trine 2.
 
Yeah, BC2. Had it on Xbox, but that died so I bought a brand new beast of a rig a couple of weeks ago. Steam sale was perfectly timed!

Hydrophobia
HL: Ep 2
The Witcher 1 & 2
Splinter Cell: Conviction

and a couple on the Direct2Drive sale (Crysis, Oblivion), and a few off some dodgy serial site that worked with Origin (Crysis 2, Burnout Paradise).

So many games, so little time! Currently alternating between BC2 multiplayer and The Witcher.

It's good to be back on PC :cool:

As an aside, are there any other good UK PC game forums about? I'm lead to believe that my politics differ massively from the guy who runs Overclockers and so I might be best off elsewhere. A shame, this place looks very well populated :/

I've got 217 games I'm able to install on mine so well over a tb worth of games if I tried installing them all lol. Got around 100 of them downloaded and backed up onto an external harddrive which is nearly full -.-
 
Honestly I'd say most if not all of the packs they sold on the last day were fantastic. Some real bargains there.

Would've gone for the Rockstar pack but I already had GTA3/IV and I've played SA and Vice City to death on an older computer (but I've now lost the CD's) so I couldn't justify buying that pack...

So I went ahead and bought the THQ pack and I'm currently downloading Homefront, Metro, Darksiders, Dawn of War II. Pretty sure I'm going to disappear from existence thanks to this sale...

And like most people, I also bought Terarria, wheyyy!
