Does anyone know of a cable that will allow you to connect 2 DVI monitors to a PC with a single DVI output?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have a HDMI port?

There are DVI and RGB version of that!... I've got an RGB one here on my work PC... Though my GPU is a Quadro... dunno if that makes a difference!...

I presume your card only has the one port on it then?

If you want the two monitors to work independently, I don't know if a standard splitter cable would work or not...Hopefully someone else can clarify the correct method though.

Theres always the option of a 'USB to DVI Adapter Converter' as well.

Uising a DVI Splitter will allow you to have your desktop displayed on two monitor's however when using one of those you also half the signal strengh sent to each monitor
With only having one DVI port on your graphics card i would recommend one of these

this will allow you to run two monitors independtly or combine them to strech your desktop over both.

with just one DVI port if you use a splitter it will just clone the image to both monitors. If you have a Quadro GPU you will very likely have a DMS-59 connector on it and not a DVI port. This is a special port that allows two dvi signals to be sent through one port, the cable can then split this into two dvi or vga cables which you conenct to your motitors, this tech was developed to give low profile systems multi monitor support.

If you do only have one DVI port then a Matrox dualhead2go or triplehead2go will be your best bet imo. They allow you to strech your desktop accross the 2 or three monitors and use them independtly.
