I brought one of these last week from OCUK to try out in my new Dell E6500 Lappy ICH9
After some messing about with which way to configure and get instlled i opted for the Intel Raid setup but with a single disk - only because any other bios setting disables the esata (stupid dell).
Anyway, all has been going well except when I shut down Vista. I have Vista x64 installed with all the latest drivers and windows updates installed.
9 times out of 10 when shutting down it will take ages... I have left it for over 20 minutes sometimes before giving up.
Also after a few hours of use, if i run check disk there are always some errors on the drive.
Is anyone else suffering similar issues? I'm on the verge of reverting back to the Dell supplied normal drive and contacting the shop to arrange an RMA. Before I do so, I would welcome any thoughts from the forum
Thanks
