Makes it a lot quicker to spot/reject the obvious duplicate or returnee accounts. We always get them, just takes a wee bit longerWhy?

'Problem' isn't exclusive to vpn's say - if you access OC shop site from older browsers you get the checking browser msg, or might be my UblockO , that blocks many 3rd parties,
.. the check, usually takes so long I have abandonned the tab - it's probably checking for more recent browser capabilities, and, unfortunately usually indicative of sites that if you do access them will have, energy burning, animated graphics - ever mW is (now) sacred

I get it and i don't use a VPN, though it only lasts a few seconds. Not an old browser either.
Same, thought it did it for everyone. Doesn't bother me in the least, only takes a second or two.
How are people that work for large-ish (or security conscious) corporates supposed to browse/shop whilst at work?
At least it doesn't affect the forums!
