Well usually I hack about at my own website and pool ideas together from other sites I like the look of.

Well this time i've started from a blank canvass and have written the CSS completely from scratch.

Its by no means finished yet and I'm unsure about how to style the navigation (below the header) at the moment so ideas are welcome.

Pretty nice for created purely in CSS, however you have some problems with your banner.

There seems to be a faint line of white text at the top, as if somebody has tried to cover something up. It was also saved in pretty poor quality as there is noise all over it and around the letters, spoiling it.

I think the website would look better if the banner was a little wider along with the main body of text.

Straight to the point. Works well without images and CSS.

You may want to run it through a site validator such as http://validator.w3.org/ as it dislikes it.

My only addition would be possibly turning the navigation into a list and using the stylesheet to put the vertical bars in place.

Good work though.
 
Thanks for all the comments guys, and the useful links to navigation. I found a really smart one on there and have implemented it.

I've widened the banner (and decreased the height), (temporary banner btw!) ;).

I've also ammended any errors to make it compliant.

Thoughts are welcome.

The far right hand side of the navigation is depressingly empty. Maybe it is just me, but it is screaming out for something. Strangely my eye keeps getting drawn to it :/

Perhaps you could shove in a link to a new product/service or maybe something from the forums. The same red colour from the banner would look good too. Dunno, I am sure you can think of something! :D
 
I didn't mean the layout. I meant the way the name and order of the divs and so on, it was virtually identical.

Dosen't bother me either way..
