Hello all...

From late last evening I have not been able to load the Microsoft dot com, site As well as Easports dot com. And Apple Trailers. Could somebody kindly see if those sites would load for them.

Thank you :)

Carl.

Hi, Farrall..

I did try that site but it's showing me that all three sites are up. I also tried with a laptop and still they are not responding.

Applied the flush option. That didn't make a difference

I went to site24x7 dot com, to ping the following sites. And it's stating that Microsoft dot com is down. trailers.apple. com is showing as "up" Easports is also showing as being "up"

Just finished with the Command Prompt option. Pinged all three sites, and it's stating that all three have been timed out.

Did the pings resolve the IP of hostnames? Microsoft doesn't accept ping requests so timeout is normal there.
Try an nslookup on them if not

Appreciate the response fellas. No more then 15 minutes ago I rebooted the router, but with no prevail. Microsoft.com will now load. But it will take more then a minute to load. But I'm only getting text no images/pictures.

Very strange because I'm only having trouble with those three sites that I'm aware of.

Having switched the computer back on this morning I tried the sites that I could not connect too. And what do you know? They now work! Could it of been a router issue that has managed to fix itself right?

Thanks again people for your input.

It seems the the issue that I had, has returned. Has anybody came across this before? This is a first for me. It corrected itself yesterday. Only just turning it back on now, it is proceeding to what it was.

People have already given you suggestions.

Change DNS provider.
Can you ping the sites?
Can you resolve the sites?
Can you traceroute the sites?

Hello, Kia..Yes I have followed the above, prior to asking from today but still no luck.

I went into "Cmd" and attempted to ping the sites that I am having trouble with, and all three were timed out. Also to mention that Microsoft.com will load but without images.

I have been browsing the sites that I was having issues with and everything is, a-okay *touch wood* After changing DNS.

What do you think was that cause of it? How does a thing like that occur? I've been connected to the Net since 2000 and this is the first time anything like that has happened to me.

Cheers.

Dodgy ISP DNS servers?

Who is your isp?

I set my DNS server in my router to use the Google dns servers, this way every pc that connects to my router will be using Google dns
