SixAxis discontinued?

shame i prefferd the sixaxiss from the dualshock 3, i never like the rumble feature, find it annoying.

You can disable rumble in that menu you get when you hold the PS button. This is good news tbh, the DS3 is a product of a much higher quality and this can only mean it can't be long until we get em.

They were selling off the six axis on the high street the other day so I guess its time for it to disappear. Ill be happy to see it finally go.

SIXAXIS = £30 odd quid

DS3 = About same price but a lot a lot better quality, good riddance to SIX, such a crap build, all creaky and see through lol, while my DS3's are good solid solid build

Got a DS3 the other day, and while the rumble in it doesn't seem that strong to me (at least not in GT5P) it's still an improvement over the SIXAXIS.

just got mine yesterday (DS3) a lot more rugged and sturdy! doesnt feel like a plastic imitation no more!

Worth it!

There was no difference in quality between my DS3 and the SIXAXIS I got with my 40GB PS3, apart from the obvious weight difference.

Were the original PS3 pads much worse then?

whats wrong with not liking the rumble feature ?? :p

I have it switched off on my 360 as well, it gives me pins and needles in my hands after playing for an hour or so with it switched on...it is very distracting

the six axis was utter crap and imo sony whould have given EVERY ps3 owner a free DS3 as an apology for being complete tards.
I needed a 2nd pad so I bought it from ebay with p+p and insurance and it came less to 35quid:)

OK, can someone explain the difference between 6axis and DS3, apart from the obvious one. Why is DS3 so much better and why should I go out and buy a new pad when I have got a perfectly good working 6axis?

Rumble, and built much better than the early PS3 pads.

Apart from that, no difference.
