Hey guys,

I've been a size 13/14 since I was about 17 and I've rarely had trouble getting the (fashionable) footwear I wanted. Admittedly, I haven't been able to shop on the high street since then, but there have always been one or two fairly well known websites that would come to my rescue :p

Recently though I've made a few orders online that have been accepted but then rejected a day later because they didn't have the stock!

Can someone please point me in the direction of a reliable merchant that stocks sizes above the 'standard' size 12 :D

I'm sure I'm not alone here...

I don't envy you. I'm a size 12 and it's hard enough. Some places stop at 11, although luckily 12's aren't to hard to get.

Usually buy my shoes when I'm in America as I don't seem to struggle with size or choice there.

I no exactly what you mean im a size 13 have been for a while now. for everyday use at college i where a pair of skate shoes as i have oddly wide feet as well. But for shoes that you can where to a nice dinner or work i picked some up when i was on holiday in America.

Far from odd fella, I've got size 12/13 wide as well.
What makes it worse is I'm only 5'9, so sometimes shoes can look like clowns if I have the wrong jeans / trousers on!

I feel you brother, i'm size 14 and it's a royal pain in the ass.

Trying to find decent trainers and shoea that you see in shops in our size is hopeless, i used to use vapourised and walktall quite a lot but i find now the quality and range has become quite poor.

Burtons recently launched a big and tall range with shoes and trainers upto size 14 but they sold out very quickly and unfortunately won;t be re-stocking some items anymore.

Now i just trawl Ebay every day in the hope that i may find a decent pair of slip ons for work or nice canvas / plimpsolls for wearing with jeans :(

I actually think shoe shops should stock more bigger sized shoes or at least make them more widely available for people to buy.

I myself know what this is like as i have big feet myself

try brantano they do upto size 14 in shoes and named brand trainers, granted they don't stock masses of choice but it's worth a luck. i usually end up getting mine from there for about 30-50 pound

Shopping for shoes in the UK high street at size 13-14 usually invloves them either bringing out some horrible pink trainers that nobody in thier right mind would want or some awful generic brand stuff that would be in the bargin bin but because its so big they can charge a premium.

I buy all my shoes in the US now cheaper and much more easy.

Size 14 in Korea brings people out in fits of laughter when you ask. the Koreas just cant get their heads round that sort of size. I had to buy some new shoes after 8 months here and other then Iteawon (expat area which seems to sell cloths for wanna be hiphop stars) nobody had my size. I got one of my freinds to buy then on the US army base for me in the end.
