Skate 3 Announced - May 2010

What are people's thoughts on the demo? I quite like it, although the last skating game I played would be TH years ago. Much prefer the analog stick jumping too, makes it a bit harder. Just tried to go online and it was unbearably laggy :/ I'll give it another shot later.
 
Just played the demo, the skating seems to flow much better and the object dropper is pretty neat. Not much different from 2 though.
 
Been playing Tony hawk2 on ps3 today :D so then tried skate3 first impressions its hard but I like how you can pick the higher up camera and it will take time to master. one to purchase I think.

Still no patch on upscaled TH2 tho heh

It's good. It doesn't quite 'grab' me, the way the first did. I'll give it a bit more of a blast tomorrow. It's unbelievably smooth and nice to look at, it would probably help if the demo was on a street rather than in a big convention centre-type place.
 
Tried the PS3 demo last night, compared to Skate 2 it felt smoother, better framerate, textures a bit sharper, walking was faster and a little easier (on 'classic') but that might be wrong
 
It's a lot better framerate, running is like sonic the hedgehog, but I don't really like the demo area.

How does the recommending thing work? Does the person you recommend have to download it? Do I just have to do it to 1 person to get the extra stuff in the full game?

edit: is there a skate park in the demo? i havent been able to find one

Just the training area,

I think I will be playing the full game on hardcore. Normal feels a little floaty.

Can't wait :D

This was my main problem with Skate 2, sometimes the frame rate was awful :(
 
This is actually pretty decent it is easier I reckon, much more forgiving with lining up to grind etc. Framerate makes it much better as well. I think I will probably buy this it's gripped me much more than 2 did. Hall of Meat is much better as well.
 
At least they fixed the skate reel stuff online, no need to sign up to their terrible login thing.

Found out you could do bail movements while jumping or hippy jumping so I uploaded

Wow... nice vid :) I'll have to try and recreate that later!
 
Is the 360 demo still only gold members? I'm still experiencing slow down on the PS3 version. Is the 360 version the same?
 
I've just pre-ordered a couple of copies, one for me and my bro. I loved Skate2 and the Skate3 demo is ace! It's so much smoother and I actually prefer it set to hardcore.
