They are my second pair and Ive had them for years and I love them!

The labels worn off and I cant even remember what they are called - same happened when I went to buy another pair spent ages looking.

They're fat skate slippers because they're fat, skaters wear them and they're like slippers.

What are you not getting?

"A slipper, also called houseshoe, is a soft and lightweight indoor type of footwear. "

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slipper

"Skate shoes are shoes specially designed and manufactured for use in skateboarding. While many non-skaters choose to wear skate shoes, the design of the skate shoe includes many features designed for use in skating. These features almost invariably include a flat sole made of rubber or polyurethane, a suede or leather composition, and double or triple stitching. Skate shoe companies have also integrated many other pieces of technology into their shoes. These innovations serve to do many things such as to prevent heel bruises, increase "board Feel" via increased flexibility, and help grip one's skateboard."

Yeah, exactly the same :p

yep, at that price I hit the buy button. and they had size 10 in stock.

what is it with shops never having size 10 in stock, it really gets on my nerve.

It's annoying, I wear 10s as well.

if your gonna buy skate goods, dont buy them from a chain store, buy from your local skater owned store or from a skater owned website:mad:

Buy them from the cheapest place available on the web!

Seriously though, I have no choice but to wear skate shoes as my feet are too wide for trainers, and DC and Duffs are my weapons of choice :)

I go about most of my day-to-day business in these:

Sexy. I've also got a very similar white pair with red detail/highlighting and a pair of white/black Osiris trainers. After trying most 'skate' brands for a few years, I've found Etnies and DVS to be the best.

I don't see the problem with using Route One, I have spent a lot on stuff from the local skate store. Sometimes however I just find it easier, and better to buy from routeone. If i know exactly what i'm after I wil go to the cheapest place. :)

Route One is skater owned. How you think they started? They are actually quite good you know - why you think they succeeded and most of the local skate shops are failing miserably? And what is with the 'just because they are popular means you can't buy from them' attitude? That's emo or something, not skater :p

Personally I wear a pair of Adio 'slipper things' at the moment. I got them before I went to Canada last year at the very last minute in an emergency (long story!) so couldn't spend much as all my money was at that point in dollars! They were only £25 or so and are really comfortable and seem to be lasting well. Got them from http://www.attitude.uk.com/ - here they are http://www.attitude.uk.com/moreinfo.asp?id=577FTW&menu=&page=2&type=
