ski pic - need help

Hi, wondering if anyone can give me some advice on what i can do to save this photo:

i was really careful to try and position the sun behind the tree while i was framing the shot, but must have moved slightly. As a result the whole image looks washed out and the sky is totally blown at the top, is there any PP anyone could suggest that might help?
I have tried allsorts, but it's hard to make the snow look white when i make any changes and any results i have had so far look really artificial. any ideas?

You could try burning in the person to try and get a bit more contrast at the top of the shot.

You need to adjust the white and grey point on that one invoke, it will brighten it and get rid of the slight blue/grey cast. Also use the sponge to desaturate the red and blue glare from the tree above the skiier. Then burn the tree's shadows in.
