Hi I've just bought a Skoda fabia 1.6tdi se as soon as I take the key out the ignition the alarm goes off I've got to lock the door twice with the key and after about 30 seconds the alarm goes off I then have to press the unlock button and then the lock button to stop it sounding it's the same when I unlock it I've got to unlock with key soon as I do that the alarm goes off until I put the key in the ignition any ideas on how to fix this would be most welcome thanks

Would suggest you'll get better results on the Briskoda forums in the appropriate section for whatever generation your Fabia is

Genuinely, why do we get so many new randoms creating 1 thread and we never see them again.. Its not exactly a car forum.

Find which fuse controls the alarm system.

Remove said fuse.

Job done.

.......it's probably one of the door/boot/bonnet sensors playing up which you can either fix, or just short to trick the ECU, and then just don't forget to close your door before you drive off.

No idea if its the same, but a failing backup battery for the Alarm Siren has causes similar - seemingly random - faults on several cars and bikes I have owned.

Because the SEO on the forums is very good and we’re often top of the results for anything you search for.

We have a busy motors forum with a lot of knowledgeable people.
