Skoda Kodiaq owners - sell me it.... Good/bad things

This is just the info I've been after. Can anyone who's got a kodiac tell me whether it's possible to get 3 child car seats (not backless booster seats) in the rear seats?
We've got baby number 3 arriving imminently so need a car for a 5, 3, and 0 year old, plus luggage space in the boot.

I don't think you can, we had our 12-year-old in between a baby and a 4 year old seats and it's a good job she's very thin! You could put the 5 year old in the rear 'boot' seats though.

OK, thanks. I can't find any cars that will allow 3 kids seats in the back row. Looks like we're going to need an MPV!

The 3008/5008 Peugeot could if I remember correctly. Not sure if the models are right. The 5 year old can’t be far off just using a booster no?
You might be right on that 5008, it's on our list to check out.
Yes, our 5 yr old could use a booster seat but we're trying to fit a high back booster if possible.

Kodiaq/Tiguan/Terraco are all based on the same platform/drive train. Literally other than body panel and slightly difference in shape they are identical.

However I do think the Kodiaq is a better looker especially the new one. It’s more practical than its cousins. It’s more square.

I had 2019 kodiaq so here are some of the good and bad

Good
- extremely spacious
- extremely practical (able to load just over 3m length of timber and able to get 1.2m wide plyboard into the boot easily)
- 7 seater arranger gives options and 3 row can cater for adults
- would go for SE L as minimum or tech.
- supports AppleCar play and android auto - new ones has wireless
- plenty options to get all the convenience
- handles surprisingly well
- really good driving position and visibility
- very comfortable suspension, the car just rides extremely well across all terrain.
- AWD option
- cheaper than most in the class
- umbrella in the doors
- I like the looks personally
- really well built
- reliable
- doors open nice and wide so no issue of getting car seat in or out.
- boot is wide enough to fit a stroller side ways or long ways and biggest buggy would look small in the boot.
- loads of space on 2nd row
- loads of storage everywhere
- boot cover can be tucked away under the carpet section

Bad
- not a premium brand (not an issue for me)
- interior is more practicality minded ie a lot of durable hard plastic than soft touch leather or faux leather; even going into GT line you still get plenty scratchy plastic here and there. (I preferred durability than soft touch so not an issue for me)
- terribly inefficient VW engine.
- underpowered on entry level engines.
- engine is noisy especially on automatic gear box
- auto gear box is hesitant and probably the reason for the horrific MPG value - mine was a diesel and had 28mpg over 34k miles
- app is rubbish
- ice scrapper is rubbish
- standard equipment is limited. You have to go to SE L for most of the creature comforts
- factory fitted continental tyres wear out very quickly mine was changed around 8000 - all 4 of them. But changed to harder all climate and didn’t need changing till car was returned to lease company.

When I got the kodiaq, they were like snow leopards. Nowadays you see more of them on the roads than Tiguan and Terraco. There are ofc 5008 etc, personally Skoda builds great cars. Skoda is right up there for reliability. I just don’t like French cars due to past experience with rust and unreliability. Kia and Hyundai are good alternatives with their base model offer much better standard equipments. But they are more pricey.

Had a Tarraco before i got the 21 plate SKODA KODIAQ ESTATE 1.5 TSI Sport Line 5dr DSG

I liked the Tarraco - parking assist was very good, but much prefer the Kodiaq. Loads of boot space, but once you the 7 seats up, this is drastically reduced. Also the 2 rear seats are not comfortable and have little leg room - we only use the 7 seats on rare occasions.

Good car, had one since 2021. SEL spec has everything needed. It goes back (lease) in Feb and I’ve replaced it with an Octavia estate (cheaper) that has all the same gear!
