skoda problem

Right was driving my dads skoda superb last night its a 55 plate and a error on the dash came on suddenly when i was driving home saying emissions workshop and the orange engine light stays on

cars engines fine but any ideas what it means?

Could be a number of things, so the best way is to get the fault code read to see what it relates to.

I had that come on when I was driving the gf honda once, and that little light came on. Turns out the engine throws out fault codes when the emissons sky-rocket (which happened as I was pushing the car a bit hard..)

Were you ragging the Skoda at all? Basically, it has recognised that emissions are far too high...
